Interesting first page story in todays N.Y. Times regarding the mortgage mess. The article directly addresses the mortgage brokers and lenders that had contributed to the fiasco. Of course one does not need to be very bright to understand the whole mortgage environment was first and foremost riding on eager Wall St banks and big money institutions. Why I myself have been getting weekly calls to "push" the many exotic loans that were made available. I personally have no qualms with tougher regulation but I just hope it doesn't effect the good borrowers in any way or form, time will tell.
