Trust is crucial when making a big transaction and a home is the largest single item most of us will ever own. Unfortunately, many brokers and mortgage lenders are not trustworthy, as media reports and investigations have shown. Many homeowners were led to horrible loan programs with rates that readjust, teaser loans, or loans they should never have been led to accept. Presently many of these homeowners are in default and risk losing their homes to foreclosure. This is all part of the current mortgage and sub-prime fiasco. Following closely behind are the mortgage companies tripping over their own feet to write loans by promising low low rates that never materialize, and at the closing are full of excuses why the rate or fees are now higher. Usually it is too late to walk out.
Here are a few of the practices I follow, in order to gain and preserve your trust:
•I'll explain to you early on about the expenses involved in obtaining a home loan.
•I'll work with you to ensure you're not paying a higher rate and fees then necessary. All our fees are within industry norms, and most of the time, lower than what other lenders are offering.
•I'll go over what your monthly payments will be, and will never encourage you to get a loan if the payments seem to be more than you can afford now.
•I'll continue to work with you, and let you know when positive changes in your financial situation could allow you to gain a new mortgage at better terms.
•Ask me for the names and phone numbers of previous clients of mine, in order to obtain referrals as to how I work with borrowers. Chances are though, you have been referred to me; if you are new to this site, as 99% of my business is by referral only!
My emphasis is on helping individuals buy the home they want or refinance their current loan, and then continuing to be a financing resource to themselves and their friends, family, and coworkers. I will help you qualify, apply and be approved for the right mortgage loan with less paperwork, and more personal attention which means you enter a frustration-free zone from application to decision.
